Took up swishin'...
« on: July 20, 2010, 10:05:23 PM »
I don't know where or how to start apologizin' for having been away for so long... 'cept that I've been simply tryin' ta make ends meet (and I know that most of yous' must, by now, know what that's like now-a-days)... plus, our tiny site's been keepin' me pretty busy also.
Site's lookin' good, Jeff. The graphics and pages are very smooth and easy on the eyes.
Speakin' of "easy on the eyes"... here's something that I got today, after getting a water machine about 8 days ago (and 18 or so rings, AND dozens of Catholic medals, and a wet 1832 LC):
I think I'm gonna be needin' an ice chisel pretty quick (or an auger with a huge drill bit  ( : )... a wet suit (maybe dry), a hookah, etc., etc., etc.
Anyway, here's a pic of 6-7 days of ring finds (and only a fraction of medals) swingin' this thing (Fisher CZ-21 Quicksilver), followed by the 1933 class ring I found today (with the owner's initials inside, so I'll be tryin' to chase down a decendant on this chunk):
